Crestwood Panther’ pitcher Charlie Faoro and third baseman Jimmy Gurgone were selected to the All-Northern League Team on Friday.   

Faoro earned the nod after a 2-1 season with a team-leading 2.26 ERA (second in the league) in nine appearances with six starts. Faoro also competed in an exciting team-record breaking strikeout race with Justin Schassburger towards the end of the season, ultimately finishing with 64 strikeouts only one less than Schassburger. Faoro also had the distinction of giving up less than three earned runs in all six of his starts, while giving up none in his relief appearances.   

Gurgone enjoyed a record-breaking year finishing with a team-record .398 batting average while also earning the Northern League batting title. He also finished the year with 20 RBIs, which was third on the team and 43 hits, which was tied for the team lead and tied for fourth in the league.
