Charlie Faoro became the third Panther this season to win a Northern League Pitcher of the Week Award.  

The award was earned on the back of a stellar performance against the Southland Vikings on June 19th. After giving up two hits with one out in the first inning, Faoro dominated the rest of the way retiring the final 17 Vikings he faced and tying the Panther’s single game record for strikeouts with 12. His final line read as follows: 6.0 IP 2 H 0 R 0 BB 12 K.  

Faoro has been one of the most consistent starting pitchers for the Panthers this season earning an all-star appearance while also striking out 42 so far (6th in the league) and leading the team with a 2.27 ERA. He joins Justin Schassburger (June 6th-12th) and Jacob Cook (July 11th-17th) in Panthers to win pitcher of the week this season.
