Erik Carlson (Pitcher) Carlson has been one of the most consistent arms for the Panthers this season starting a team-high six games. He currently boasts a 3-2 record on the season with his season highlight being back-to-back complete games victories against the Chicago American Giants on June 4th and June 10th. Justin Schassburger (Pitcher) Schassburger comes into this week ties for the league-lead in wins with four on the season. He has given up two or fewer earned runs in five of his seven appearances helping him sit seventh in the league with a 3.94 ERA. Schassburger’s highlights included six no-hit innings against the Oilmen on June 7th and a four-inning relief victory against Lake County on June 24th. Charlie Faoro (Pitcher) Faoro was a late addition to the Panthers this season, but he has been nothing but spectacular in his four outings this season. He currently holds a 2.87 ERA which is leading the guys with at least four appearances. His highlight of the season was pitching the final three innings of a one-hitter against the Oilmen on June 7th. Jimmy Gurgone (Infielder) Jimmy Gurgone has been a consistent bat near the top of the lineup this season with a .361 average. He has five multi-hit games including four of those being three hit games. Gurgone has also been an on-base machine with a .487 on-base percentage. Peter Fusek (Outfielder) Fusek has been the top offensive player for the Panthers this season. He currently leads the league in RBIs with 28, and he also leads the Panthers in home runs with two. His best game came on June eighth against the Joliet Generals when his four RBIs fueled a five-run Panthers comeback in Carol Stream. Aydin Wright (Catcher) Wright has been one of the most consistent hitters in the Crestwood lineup with at least one hit in all 16 games he has played. His clutch hitting has also been on display particularly on June 24th when his Baltimore chop allowed Crestwoof to comeback and defeat the Corn Dogs 5-2. Hobbs Dunne (Infielder) Dunne is second on the team in RBIs with 14 on the season. Providing solid power in the middle of the order, Dunne has been able to provide big hits in big spots. Most notably on June 19th against the American Giants where he had a go-ahead 2-run home run in the 8th inning, and an insurance RBI double in the ninth inning. |
