The Panthers returned to the Northern League weekly awards on Tuesday as Jacob Cook took home his first pitcher of the week honor.  

Cook won the award thanks to a tremendous relief performance against the Southland Vikings on July 11th. After the Vikings scored 14 runs in the first five innings, Cook came in and shut the Vikings down pitching five scoreless innings of relief.  

Cook has been lights out for the Panthers out of the bullpen this season with a 2.92 ERA and two savesover eight relief appearances. Cook becomes the second Panther to take home the pitcher of the week award after Justin Scassburger won the award in June.
