Nappanee, IN- AUG 2- The Miracle were angry about the close loss they had against the Panthers in their last matchup. That loss was basically the dagger to the Miracle season and ultimately helped the Panthers cruise into the playoff picture. Although with not much on the line, the Miracle played with something extra to prove as they protected their home ballpark and defeated the Panthers 12-2.

The Miracle grabbed an even two in the first, two in the second, and two in the third against Panthers righty Anthony Mangano. Mangano did not get any help from his defense, but still was struggling to avoid Miracle barrels.

Mangano went three innings allowing six runs in total on seven hits, three walks, and a strikeout. Four of the runs were earned as the Panthers defense had a disastrous four error ballgame.

Alberto Lamas noticeably struggled to command his pitches as he walked five in just two innings. The Miracle added two more in the fifth to make it 8-0.

The Panthers made it 8-1 via a sac-fly in the sixth and then 9-2 by scoring on a wild pitch in the following inning.

For the second straight night, a Panthers position player finished out a game. This time, it was Horacio Cabrales. Cabrales went 2.1 innings allowing three runs on six hits. Two were earned.

The Miracle only had to go with one pitcher as it is impossible not to mention the dominance of Conor Gausselin when talking about this game.

The all star pitcher built on his fantastic 2023 campaign by earning his league-leading sixth win by pitching the full eight innings that were played and struckout 14 batters and did not walk a batter.

Panthers will look to avoid entering the playoffs on a three game losing streak when they close out the season against a team they have had success playing and a place where they find a way to win. The season finale will be at Brian Jennings Field in Griffith, Indiana against the last place Griffith Generals. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 PM.
